Wedding Dresses…. So many styles to choose from!

August 5, 2013

T-minus 5 days until I am officially in my first wedding… as a bridesmaid. Yep, my best friend is getting married. It got me thinking – when you plan a wedding, where do you even BEGIN to start searching for a wedding dress? Bridal magazine covers litter the aisles of Barnes and Noble and the grocery store, but I never stop to look or even give it a glance. I guess that’s probably because I’m so far from marriage. Anyway, back to my point. I spent some time looking up different styles on DressFirst.com and here’s what I found.

1. Not all dresses are white. Mind blown. Like this one. This dress is actually very elegant and a little vintage-looking if you ask me. It’s a nice style – not really my type, but I know would look great on some people.

2. Some wedding dresses look like ballet recital outfits. Short. Sweet. Great for dancing in, but not traditional at all. I do like the skirt on this… This is probably something I’d want for a reception. And the best part is you could probably wear it again!Image

3. Some dresses make you feel like a princess. Now this is something that I could get behind. I love this dress because it’s a little over the top but just perfectly elegant enough. It reminds me of the little figure on top of a wedding cake. If this doesn’t scream wedding, I don’t know what does.
