Bracelets are the perfect accessory.

November 3, 2010

I am going to be posting a lot about accessories in the next couple weeks because I’m attending a wedding.. the first one that I’m actually in (doing a reading) in a couple weeks, and of course, my outfit has to be perfect. I’ve 2 perfect dresses, which I’ve posted previously, and all I need are some accessories to complement the dress. ShopNBC has some really great bracelets – many of which would fit the occasion, however this one is my favorite. This sterling silver bracelet has pearls that would match with the pearls on the dress. I posted it in the peacock color, because the white, which is the one that would match the best, didn’t show up very well in photos. And as good luck would have it, it’s on sale!

If anyone has any bracelets or any other accessory that would fit with the dresses, let me know!

A belt totally matters…

August 18, 2010

I feel like a lot of people overlook accessories. But accessories can really make or break an outfit. If you’re running late for work, throw on a pair of cute earrings and boom, you have an instantly new outfit. The same goes with belts. Belts totally matter. One belt can make an array of different outfits from things you already have. And let me tell you, they are way cheaper than a new outfit. I love this skinny belt from Gap. It’s not only a great accessory, but it has some pizzaz to it to spice up any outfit. Be it a work outfit or a first day. This is perfect belt all around!

How Do You Store Your Jewelry?

January 8, 2010

That is the question for today. How do you store your jewelry? I have so much jewelry saved up and when I throw it in a box, they necklaces get all tangled! This pretty cute Bird Vine jewelry stand (from Urban Outfitters) is a great idea, but doesn’t seem like it holds much. I know a ton of you out there have atons of jewelry, so how do you store it? Leave it in the comments below!

Earmuffs, Ear Muffs, Ear Warmers.

January 21, 2009

New York weather actually got to that point where I thought to myself, damn, I need some earmuffs. I’d been walking around with a beanie and hood, which restricted 100% of my peripheral vision. I know, they look totally dorky but I don’t really care. What’s your favorite style and kind?

1. Classic style, suede and on sale at Macy’s for $21! Not bad, but I have a feeling they’d mess up your hair and be annoying.

2. Boomers – Essentially the same style, however these come in funky bright colors and you can’t listen to music while staying warm! Score!

3. Shearling Earmuffs – Love these by J. Crew. Funky, fun and have the band on the top so they don’t get tangled with low ponytails or hoods.

My 5 Favorite Gloves

October 22, 2008

With the cold season starting to loom over us, I guess it’s that time to take out the winter clothes. I love accessorizing, especially with gloves. Here are my top five favorite winter gloves of all time:

1. These Merona Cable armwarmers from target are a whopping $10.99 which makes them a great bargain. The reason I enjoy these is because you can still do practical things without taking them off – play your iPod, type, paint your nails, hehe.

2. These Fairisle gloves are great because of the length. It bugs me when my wrists get freezing cold because my gloves aren’t long enough. These solve the problem and they come is 3 fun colors.

3. Since Banana Republic is my new favorite store, I had to add some stylish cable knit gloves from them. Warm and fuzzy, these are not just everyday gloves- oh and I love the belt on them.

4. If you liked the first pair of gloves, but still want separated fingers, these Fingerless Gloves are for you. And what a fabulous color! Gap always has the best plain clothing staples.

5. Last but certainly not least, I had to put in some fancy fancy Coach gloves…. driving gloves, perhaps. Chic, leather and super soft…..

So here is my question. Which kind of gloves do you like and why? What is your favorite? Leave me a comment let me know!
