Etsy is an awesome website. It features TONS of handmade stuff that you can buy and you can also sell your own handmade stuff! I’ve listed a couple of things that I think were pretty sweet, including a picture of capuccino cups and also a mini lined comic-print notebook.

In any case, its easy to sign up, so if you haven’t been to the site, I suggest you check it out, create and account and get creative! P.S. its a great way to make some extra cash on the side!

The New York Auto Show has some style!

This is a Ferrari Enzo — similar to the one that Eddie Griffin allegedly “crashed.” I saw it at the New York International Auto show at the Jacob Javits Center yesterday. It’s stylish, fashionable and a great accessory if you have, you know, a few million lying around.

For the latest coverage of the NYIAS ’07, and great auto news check out Fast Lane Daily!

Musician Style Icon: Butch Walker

April 6, 2007

butchwalker.jpg

Personally, I like a guy with a bit of a grungy look – not too clean cut and someone that definitely doesn’t take longer to get ready or wears more make-up than I do.

I am a huge fan of the amazing Butch Walker not only because his music rocks, but because boy, can he dress. I love the vest look and he pulls it off well. He is one of the only individuals that I think looks good in that kind of hat, and the sleeves… well I love a guy that can pull off sleeves and still look good.

Ripped jeans, belts, jewelry and other accessories are awesome, but make sure you keep them to a minimum to keep you looking hardcore. I will put all my bets on Butch Walker this week. He rocks and so does his wardrobe!

(Do you have a favorite style icon? Send in your request along with why and I’ll be sure to post it!)

From top to bottom: A supersoft beach coverup for when I’m not tanning, some stylish and comfy espadrille wedges – perfect for day or night, a snazzy tote to lug all of the essentials to and from the beach, a few headbands to keep your hair looking fresh, SUNSCREEN! with a little shimmer of course, lip balm to protect your puckers, and last but not least, after sun lotion to deepen and darken that tan that I’ll be workin’ on all day!

…And now that I have my packing pretty much out of the way… who wants to come???

What is with buttons as earrings??

April 3, 2007

If you’ve noticed the increasing trend of button earrings appearing everywhere that’s because it’s on the up and coming hot list for the summer. Would I wear them? Hmm I dunno, but ask me again in a few weeks.

Dress to Impress!

April 3, 2007

The shape of a dress can make or break an outfit. This morning on the news they forecasted the fashion dress trend and what to wear. I was pretty horrified that they encouraged people to wear a shapeless dress resulting in somewhat of a potato – sack look. I found a similar picture of what NOT to wear. There is no shape to this and that looks good on no one. However, opt for something like this blue polka dot dress. It brings color, shape and style!

How Juicy is Juicy Couture?

April 2, 2007

I buy into brand names, yes I’ll admit I have designer clothes. The one brand that I wil never buy is Juicy Couture. And this is why. First off, when I think of Juicy, I think the names sounds FAT. Then I think of those bright sweatsuits, its like one size fits all or something and I think “rich kids who have nothing better to spend their money on.” Especially when you can buy the same thing at the Gap for 1/3 of the price. Last but not least, its a rip off. Therefore, you will never see me buying Juicy. I think it’s trash for what you get. PLEASE if you have a comment, I ‘d like to hear it… I can’t be the only one who despises Juicy Couture and how they’ve given our generation a bad name. HELP!
