Travel for the Holidays in Style!

December 3, 2009

This adorable Lucky Tote by Lulu Lemon is so cute and perfect for holiday travel. Why? It’s large enough to fit your laptop, extra change of clothing, purse, snacks, etc, but small enough for traveling on a plane. Inside, its HOT PINK and all the compartments are labeled according to what fits in each pocket – ipod? cell phone? we got ya covered!

Marc by Marc Jacobs: Aiden vs Groovee

November 5, 2009

It’s that time again – you know, the time when I search for a new purse that I desperately want and maybe* cannot afford. But hey, fashion is an investment, right? Plus, I gotta do my research!

I am viciously torn between Marc by Marc Jacobs Baby Aidan and Baby Groovee. Both are super cute and around the same price. Which do you think I should buy?

Bluefly is one of my new favorite sites for just that (and also designer clothing). They have tons of designer purses on sale! What more could a girl want? And they’re doing a contest: 30 Bags in 30 Days, where you can enter daily to win a free purse. What a dream come true. SIGN UP NOW!!! :) And refer your friends so you can enter more than once a day.

And now back to my favorite purses on the site… ahhh I love them so much!

1. Rebecca Minkoff – Mini Morning After Bag in Seaglass studded leather. What a beautiful color and the studs, of course are the cherry on top of this fabulous purse. Not to mention, it’s the perfect size and the detail inside is to die for!

2. Miu Miu – Beige Chevron Lambskin Whipstitched Bag.
Look at the details on this beauty! Absolutely stunning. And this goes perfect with a dressed down outfit. The star is definitely this purse.

3. Gucci – New Pelham in natural leather. This purse is a goddess. It’s classic touch will never go out of style. It’s made with Italian leather with brass knobs.  This is the perfect purse for a casual dress down or a formal dress up party. I would love to own this!Picture 2

Gold at the end of the rainbow…

May 18, 2009

I’ve always been obsessed with gold… (and pink).. but I was browsing the Coach store and I saw a few clutches that are literally to die for… or maybe to buy for. I dunno, you decide.

Hands Free Handbags, please!

May 8, 2009

After owning so many over the shoulder handbags and being in many situations where they just keep falling off my shoulder, I’ve decided in becoming more practical for my everyday handbag use. Fossil has so many crossbody purses that keep you in style while being hands free. Plus check out the many pockets for all the extra storage use. Which one is your favorite?

Hobo’s Wallets, Purses and things…

February 5, 2009

hobo13

How is it possible that I had not heard of Hobo purses/wallets/bags? I saw this sleek black wallet in Bloomies the other day and LOVE IT. It’s neat, shiny and not bulky. Plus the inside has a lot of compartments and has a cute pattern. The one I saw had black and white houndstooth, but I can’t find it online. Must find wallet.

Oh and I can’t forget about  how cute and practical these clutches are!

31 Corn Lane’s totally handmade purses!

February 4, 2009

picture-1 I just got this handmade purse by Indie Designers, 31 Corn Lane. It’s a small company started by 3 sisters and   they make these adorable purses, totes and wallets. Inside, they are lined with bright eclectic material. I love this purse! Check below for an interview they did on Threadbanger.com.

My homemade tote bag!

July 24, 2008

I’m not a big sewer. In fact, I usually get mad when I use a sewing machine and my projects end up half finished because I don’t have that much patience. However, this time I was determined to make something that I’d actually use. I got this fabric from GoodWill and made this lined tote bag. Not bad for my first bag, huh? The straps are all different materials since I kept making it longer and added a chaos stitching to make it look punk-ish.

Also, the lining is purple pin stripes with pockets. I am so proud of myself! What do you think?

Gucci Duffle Bag

May 21, 2008

This Friday I am leaving to go to Houston for my cousin’s graduation. I needed a small duffle that I could take on the plane and could hold enough stuff for 4 days (I’m a very light packer). I found this Gucci duffle in Chinatown this weekend and bargained them down to $30 bucks. I am soooo excited because I love the Gucci print and this bag is just adorable! I can’t wait to travel many places with my bag – and hey, it looks totally real in real life. Can you tell the difference?

Flip and Tumble’s Reusable Tote Bags!

April 30, 2008

Hey guys! Check out these really cool reusable tote bags. They are small enough to roll up into a ball and fit in your purse, then when you go grocery shopping (or any other shopping, for that matter), you can decline those plastic bags and use your own. It’s an eco-friendly bag and helps out the environment. Plus, they are so cute! Buy one for $12 at Flip and Tumble.

I need a new tote bag.

I think I need a new tote bag for the summer. Plain and simple. After regretfully buying many cheap $20 tote bags, I’ve finally come to the realization that I want a tote bag that’s soft, has a lot of pockets, fun and bright and has straps that are long enough to fit my arm through comfortably (with extra room). I searched and searched and I’ve come back to the  by Vera Bradley. I love this color and I love this bag. I’m just not sure that I want to spend $72 bucks on this bag. Does anyone have any reviews on this bag? Is it a good one? Does it last long? Which color do you prefer!?

Thanks for making my shopping experience easier.

Michael Kors Sachel Bag

March 13, 2008

Hey everyone.

I need your help! I have been looking for the perfect purse for weeks on end. I have a few purses, but they are SO old that they are literally falling apart, stained with dirt and just plain old looking. I went to Macy’s yesterday and fell in love with this purse. It’s simple, made of thick leather so its sturdy and very simple. I love the look of this because it’s not TOO but but can still hold all of my everyday things. I love it in the brown camel leather, but the black leather is more practical.

There are 2 left in the store and until Sunday, there’s at 15% discount then an additional 11% discount so it would be about 100 bucks off. It’s still expensive,  but its a classic look that it could last me for a lifetime. What do you think?

Vacation, here I come!

March 6, 2008

Ok- well not so much of a vacation, but a trip to LA. Yup I get to travel across the country again. And I need a new bag since I’ve been traveling with a HUGE backpacking – type luggage, which doesn’t make consolidating my things very easy. Anyway, here are 2 bags that I really like. Any ideas on which one I should get?

This one is  by Vera Bradly.

Both are cute and about the same price.. and wow..  I just noticed that both of them are blue and brown. I must be on a blue / brown color kick lately!

gucci!

March 3, 2008

This weekend I went shopping in the Big Apple to find myself a new purse. Currently I have a pink leather purse which I’ve had for years and the pink has now been tarnished with black dirt so you can’t barely tell its color. The straps are falling out and the stitching is undone. I went to the Gucci store in Midtown and was shocked at the prices. $800-1000 for a purse?? That’s not even leather?? WTF! That’s insane!!!! Regardless I saw a knockoff of this one in Soho for $40 bucks. Much more my price range. I didn’t buy it though because I’m a freak about purchasing stuff. I never do impulse purchases. I’ll still have to think about it for a couple more days.

everyone needs a tote!

verabradleybag.jpg

I was shopping online this weekend and I found this tote and I thought to myself, everyone needs a tote. Its so versatile (work, beach, shopping), and it can pretty much hold everything. Vera Bradley has many many bags to choose from, so it was hard just picking one. They are all so unique, stylish and the prints can pretty much match any personality. Go to the site and see for yourself. I think you will find something you like.

Get Set, GO!

As I waited in the neverending line at JFK Airport to check in my bags, I can’t help but notice other people’s suitcases. Contrary to my boring gray suitcase from 1912, (ok so not that old, but you get the point) I see this suitcase in line behind me, and I’ll admi – I was a little jealous.
LeSportSac has this new winter collection by Tokidoki with these adorable little Japanese characters. Get them while they are available. They 2 prints available and believe me, its a hell of a lot easier to spot your stuff if you have a bag like this one!

You can never have too many purses!
