Yellow is such a weird color. It’s fascinates me. It’s beautiful, vibrant, yet its one of those tricky colors that only some people can wear. I LOVE this dress, but not sure I can pull of its marigold color. Note: It also comes in a deep purple, but the yellow is perfect for summer, don’t you agree?

May 28, 2009I heart Paige Jeans.
May 18, 2009If you have a relatively straight figure without many curves and have a hard time finding jeans to fit you, raise your hand (hand risen!). Well I found the perfect fitting jeans – Paige Jeans. They are tailored to people without many curves, which isn’t a bad thing, just hard to shop for. I’ve tried everything from Sevens to Joe’s Jeans to Citizens to Levis to Gap to Express to Hudson to Rock and Republic…. you name it, and these are the best. I promise. You will heart them too!
Skirts I want, but probably don’t need.
January 23, 2009I haven’t been to Urban Outfitters in quite a while and I’m pretty ashamed at myself. But, I swear, it’s because of the cold weather and me being lazy and staying in my warm apartment. But, since Spring will literally spring upon us before we know it, i need to get a spring skirt. Or maybe 2. (both skirts from Urban Outfitters)
Silence and Noise Convertible Pencil Skirt
(Holy shit. Love this skirt, mostly because it can be worn as a high waisted skirt or folded over for a mini)
Record Players…. are the new CDs.
August 27, 2008Record Players are making a comeback. Ok, so maybe that’s just in my world. I have no aspiration to become a famous DJ, but I just love the sound of a good ‘ol record player. I can’t wait to start my collection. Here’s a great record player that I found…. but then again I’m still deciding if I should get the all-inclusive one or get a turn table with some badass sounding speakers from Guitar Center…. any suggestions?
This particular model is by Crosley and it goes for about $150, but it includes a USB cord so you can rip your records to your computerl…. sweet!
How I love Urban Outfitters Dresses
August 14, 2008I haven’t visited Urban Outfitters in a quite some time due to the fact that I’m trying to cut back on my shopping habits. However, everytime I go back to the site, I crave new clothing – namely dresses. The single best thing about an urban outfitters dress is that at first it may look weird, but then you do another take and it’s quite unique and frankly, fabulous. I’ve actually worn my sailor looking dress from UO to work and someone said it was so ugly that I shouldn’t ever wear it again. PSH. He obviously didn’t know fashion.
Here’s my UO pick of the week… thank you Free People. You Rock!!!
maxi dresses for short people?
July 10, 2008I love these maxi dresses, but I have a problem. I’m only 5′2″ and every dress is super long on me. Why don’t they make these dresses short-people-friendly?
Any other short people out there have advice on how to wear these.. and not have to wear 5 inch heels? HELP!
I’m all about the perfect mug.
April 23, 2008I love mugs. Bug mugs, small mugs, mugs with bug handles, cool designs, you name it. I found these great mugs online
I found these 2 mugs on Poppytalk, which are reminiscent of high-school and I just love them. I bet you could even get a dry-erase marker and write notes on the lines!
I found this mug on becauseimaddicted.com and it’s great. Part of the reason why I buy cups of coffee is because I love their nifty mugs. This one is not only reusable, but its so pretty and porcelain. It comes with a silicone lid – how fun!
These mugs are from Tiki Talk and they’re fantastic! Check out the skull mug… creepy, huh?
Pink… ah Pink mugs! What could be better. Look at all the wonderful designs. Found these Limited Editioin Art Deco Mugs at Color Bakery.
Then, we can’t forget those classic oversized mugs from Urban Outfitters. For soup or coffee/tea, these make great mugs!
Do you have any cool mugs that I need to see? Post them here!!!
too many dresses. too little time!
April 15, 2008Ooooh. I am so excited for the days to warm up to 80 degrees. Yup, I’m a beach girl at heart and I hate wearing sweaters. I went shopping this weekend because I had a dress in mind that I wanted. Something simple, with capped sleeves, but not too tight and not slinky material. I wanted something that I could just slip on and be casual, yet be able to dress up if I wanted to wear out. I found a couple dresses at Urban Outfitters and I really liked them, but was too lazy to try them on. Now, that’s all that I can think about. Here they are.. any thoughts? (click on the images to buy them!)
skinny jeans gets second round of admirers
March 31, 2008Skinny jeans have been a pretty big craze for the past… eh, i’d say 2 years. I got into them last year and I love my only (dark gray/black) pair of skinnies. I got a huge hole in the crotch (no idea how) and I was devastated, but with a little thread and the pinch and pin method I was able to somewhat fix it so no one would notice. But enough about me. For all of you who have been asking for SKINNY JEANS. 2 words: Urban Outfitters. Click here for a wide selection of affordable skinnies for all tastes. And if you want a bright bold color that they don’t have…. just buy a pair of white ones and dye them. It’s super easy and a great way to get a unique pair of jeans.
Eggplant summery dress
March 13, 2008My top 5 summer picks from Urban Outfitters!
March 20, 2007After searching through Urban Outfitters in the West Village this weekend, I’ve compiled a list of what I think are the best summer must – haves!!! And if I missed anything or if you have a favorite, PLEASE let me know!!!!! Here goes…
1. A good pair of shorts for the summer is definitely something that everyone should have. These particular shorts have a great pattern for a more sophisticated look. And to top it all off, they are on sale for a whopping 20 bucks!
2. A fun tote is something that I would make sure is in my summer accessories must haves. Its great for the beach, hikes, and outdoor picnics. Not to mention the bright fun colors!
3. This dress is fun, chic, sleek and sexy. Its casual, yet dressy enough that you could throw on a pair of heels and a cardigan. I love dresses because its so easy to just throw on and in record time, have a completed pulled together look from head to toe!
4. I absolutely love big jewelry… it totally overcompensates for boring outfits — and this is a great way to spice up those boring winter outfits and make them fun, yet simple!
5. Simple, yet elegant, this yellow tank is perfect for the summer. Its flowy enough so your skin can breathe during the hot winter months, its bright yellow — a color that screams summer, AND it has some lace trim which automatically puts it in the “going out clothes” category…. which mean versatility! You get your money’s worth with a top like this!
Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day!!!
March 13, 2007New York bargains!
March 12, 2007If you’ve been around the city a few times, you may know where to shop for great deals. For me, it’s usually the thrift stores or Broadway in Soho. Yes, there are the occasional boutiques that sell white T-shirts for 100 bucks, but if you are down in that general area, you should hit up Mystique. Great, cheap clothes.
I purchased the green dress for $25.00… then I saw practically the same thing at another store for $88 bucks!!!! So, yes, it does pay to shop around!!! Literally.
Hit or Miss?
March 8, 2007I went shopping at Urban Outfitters in Union Square this weekend. For the most part when I go shopping there, I fall in love with pretty much everything in sight. On this particular day, I had a hard time finding something that caught my eye. Here’s what I found:
One word: FABULOUS!
Seriously? What were they thinking?!
This season… it’s all about colors.
February 28, 2007And Urban Outfitter’s got you covered! So its time to clean out your old dull wardrobe and embrace the full spectrum!!!
Fashion Trend #3
February 22, 2007They aren’t just any clutches…..
… They are daytime clutches! And how does that make them different from the usual clutches seen out at clubs and parties? They are bright, colorful, fun, and casual enough to sport on your daily errands. So girls, get ready to throw out the ton of junk that you carry around in your oversized purse and really don’t need anyway (and you all know what I’m talking about) because its all about consolidation… in a cute little clutch, of course.
What Rolex?
February 21, 2007A couple years ago they said that thick band watches that also acted like a alternative cutting edge piece of jewelry was just a fad. Boy were they wrong. And was I wrong, not to buy one. I still love these things. It gives a flare to your outfit, blue and yellow are great colors and this one is available exclusively online. So guys, forget about your Rolex and get in with the trend!
Beach anyone? Yes please!
February 20, 2007So right about now, I am missing the beach. Yes…. lounging outside in the warm sand. How could you not. And if you bought a suit similar to this, that would make want to go out even MORE. This chic one piece white bathing suit is hot. And that’s a fact. It’s also only available online so don’t go looking for it in stores….And back to my point…. beach anyone?
Layers are for men too!
February 16, 2007Here’s a tip for guys…. layer layer layer. It’s what fashion is all about. And you can take a cool military button up shirt like this one and layer a t-shirt underneath and still look stylish and chic. Sometimes I envy guys… SOMETIMES. There are tons of other shirts like this on the Urban Outfitters website.. so click away…
February, won’t you be my Valentine?
February 14, 2007I love Valentines Day (Sarcasm). But more power to you if you do like it. I just don’t get the point of showing your love for someone on this particular day, rather than just any other day. Nice try, Hallmark. Anyway, though I am not particular celebrating this day, I hope those of you who still believe in love are. And here are some things that would make a great addition to the day!
