A Chocolate Tour!
February 19, 2009i love me some lipstick! ;X
February 18, 2009I’m not a lipstick wearing gal. Mostly for the fact that I don’t like getting lipstick on my food, drinks and in my mouth. I wanted to find a deep red lipstick that I could wear when I go out and I automatically thought M.A.C because it’ s my favorite makeup line. This lipstick is the perfect color and I noticed that it also supports HIV and AIDS.
Does anyone have have any good suggestions on colors and lipsticks that don’t fade easily?
David Lok won the Happy Socks contest!
February 9, 2009Remember the Happy Socks contest back in December? I was giving away 4 pairs of socks to the person who left the best comment. Well after much review, David Lok won and here’s his pic with his awesome new Happy Socks!

Here’s his winning response: “
I deserve to win because I’ve been stuck in the Thome Browne universe a bit too long. Suit pants that hangs above ankle with dress shoes minus socks really don’t work so well this time of the year. What better way to cure my no sock blues with these dashing Happy Socks.
Thanks a bunch!”
And just so you know, David, you look stunning in your new socks!
Hobo’s Wallets, Purses and things…
February 5, 2009How is it possible that I had not heard of Hobo purses/wallets/bags? I saw this sleek black wallet in Bloomies the other day and LOVE IT. It’s neat, shiny and not bulky. Plus the inside has a lot of compartments and has a cute pattern. The one I saw had black and white houndstooth, but I can’t find it online. Must find wallet.
Oh and I can’t forget about how cute and practical these clutches are!

I just got this handmade purse by Indie Designers, 31 Corn Lane. It’s a small company started by 3 sisters and they make these adorable purses, totes and wallets. Inside, they are lined with bright eclectic material. I love this purse! Check below for an interview they did on Threadbanger.com.
Jennifer Aniston in Marley and Me
February 4, 2009I saw Marley and Me in theatres a few week ago after I had finished reading the book and I must say I LOVED Jennifer Aniston’s wardrobe in it. I don’t know whether their stylist just had a good sense of casual chic or maybe it’s that her perfect body makes everything look awesome. Either way, I am envious. Especially in her winter wear outfit below – she dressed so cute. I guess I am just jealous that I can never find jeans to fit me perfectly like the way they do one her… ah petty things.
P.S. The move was great!

Top 10 Things to NOT do on Valentine’s Day…
February 2, 2009I wrote a post with Bill Cammack on Top 10 things to NOT do on Valentine’s Day…..whether you hate the holiday, love it or don’t even think it should be considered a holiday, check out the post!
Here’s a preview:
6. Don’t *NOT* send her flowers at work
L: You see, there’s an unspoken game that goes on at everyone’s work on Valentine’s Day. It’s called “My boyfriend/husband loves me more than yours does.” When the flower guy comes to deliver flowers, all the women’s heads shoot up thinking, “I hope they’re for me.” Of course, if you’re the person that doesn’t get flowers on Valentine’s Day, everything thinks, “She must be in a fight” or “He must not really love her.” You want your girlfriend to feel like the most special girl every and everyone to envy her at work. Then she’ll win the game. That’s how it works. And if you can’t afford $100 flowers (because that’s how much they cost on V day) then buy some from a flower shop and have your friend (who no one in her office knows) deliver them. Throw in a cupcake and your’re golden.
B: I was going to say this one in my five. This is EXTREMELY CRITICAL. First of all, you HAVE TO send them to her job. Second, you HAVE TO send them EARLY, so her girlfriends sweat her all day while she feels comfortable and loved and NOT ANXIOUS as far as whether she’s gonna get hers before the whistle blows @ 5pm. Third, like Lindz said… Go BIG or Go HOME!!! If you can’t shell out the ducats for the flower shop action, go to any ghetto area and look for a store with a fruit stand. Roses will be either $1 per or $2 per. Either way, $50 or less gets you two dozen long-stemmed roses, wrapped. Get your boy to deliver them and get ready to be treated like a *KING* after she gets out of work. ![]()

Uggs aren’t so ugg-ly after all…
February 2, 2009I am convinced to turn all your UGG haters into lovers. Apparently the people who design Uggs realized that yes, to most people, their boots are pretty UGG-ly. However, they’ve branched out and have a ton of new styles. Like I said a few posts below, about how I’m obsessed with boots, I have purchased yet my second pair in 2 weeks. (I’m trying to convince myself that I can help boost this economy).
These are the boots I purchased. They are called Swell Tall and they come in black, dark brown (brunswick), chestnut (charred), and millstone (light tan). Since I own a ton of brown flats, I got them in black. Not only do they have a lot of detailing around the back and top, they are very sharp looking – not floppy and super casual like their usual look. They are also a smooth suede that can be worn in snow and rain. The best part about these are the footbed – it has a squishy Poron footbed that conform to your feet and feel like you’re wearing gym shoes or as I like to call it, grandmas shoes. The comfort pretty much influenced me to buy them. I could literally go hiking in these boots and for all the walking I do in NYC, well worth it. Not to mention, the rubber sole provide traction and will last a long time. They also have a light lining of sheepskin to keep you warm. I got them for 30% off since it’s almost spring, so be sure to shop around for the best deal.
